Limited Edition Canvas Gliclées

Giclée prints (“zhee-clay”) are the highest quality reproductions available of original paintings. The term is from the French word “gicleur” meaning “jet or nozzle” and is a reference to the ink jet printers used in the process. The process captures the painting using high resolution digital camera technology. The captured image can then be printed onto either paper or canvas. Giclées of Will Hegler’s paintings are printed onto primed archival canvas using high quality archival inks, and this canvas is then stretched on a wood frame. Next, the image surface of each print is individually hand retouched using a clear acrylic coating, giving it texture. The result is a fine art reproduction that looks and feels like an original painting, with richness in detail and color brilliance not available in traditional printing methods.
